Complicated? Don't worry. It is easier than it looks.
Now, the game basically works with turns. Each turn you will have the chance to attack your opponent using any weapon that you might have in your playfield or by using an ability or spell from your hand. During the opponents turn, you will be able to block attacks with defense items that you might have (like armors or shields or even weapons) and/or using defense abilities/spells. You win the game by reducing your opponent's life points to 0.
