This story is no different from any other you’ve heard before. Ederon was a peaceful world, where every town was sprawling with life. It had their many inhabitants, with their own lives, and their own hardships. But as history has shown us time and time again, a life of peace never lasts forever. At times, what we call "good" has to find its balance to keep the roots of all that is living in this world in harmony. A common thought between most of us is, "good" always seems to regain its strength over the cruel and evil. But what is “good” REALLY?
As similar intellectual creatures, good always seems to drive us to achieve similar goals. But as we know, each of us has our own personal experiences that shape us into who we are today. Every group of creatures has their own different values, morals (if any) and views of the earth. But what happens if the good that we refer to is no longer a common thought. What happens if maybe, for a single group of creatures, good means the fight for dominance, the idea that only the stronger must and will survive? This is the story of Ederon.
"Peaceful world" is no longer a common shared ideal. The world has since changed. The few that still try to fight for it find themselves living as a hidden race, a secret society.
And to those wondering if a hero can bring back the peace, the answer is no. The common thought is no longer peace. Only the strong must survive. It is what we all seek. When the word "peace" is uttered by a warrior it is only to justify their gratuitous actions against the weak, when in reality all they are doing is fighting; fighting for their own selfish need to gain control.
But once every thousand years, it is said that real heroes are born. Not the kind of heroes you hear about in fairy tales selflessly saving the world, but rather heroes born for one reason: Purpose. Purpose that is capable of changing many lives. The same purpose that gives them the strength and abilities considered unnatural by most. I've never seen one, but I've read about them many times. In their ancient tomes, every race and town speaks of a hero that will come. A "messiah" like as many call them. I like to believe that they are just a sign, or perhap a cry from the unbalance life to try regain the peace back in our world.
